We’re excited to celebrate the release of Pitman’s Broadway Theatre at 100 with a full week of events in Pitman and beyond. Join us at one—or all—of these gatherings as we honor the Broadway’s 100-year history with stories, music, and community.
This week brings together voices from across Pitman’s past and present, authors, designers, performers, and community leaders, to celebrate our book launch. Each event offers a different way to experience the theatre’s story, whether it’s picking up a copy at the craft show, gathering for the official launch on stage, or reconnecting online with fellow Pitmanites from afar.
9 am to 3 pm, Pitman Craft Show
Stop by the Ardmore Avenue Publishing booth to pick up your pre-ordered copy (for those who selected “local pick up”). A limited number of books will also be available for sale during the craft show.
7 to 8:30 pm, Broadway Theatre
Celebrate the official launch with moderator Pitman Mayor Michael Razze and guests Warren Carr, Bobbi Wilkins, Peter Slack, Paolo Aguila, and Rich Eldredge. The evening features music from Nathan Figlio on the Kimball organ and acoustic duo AFTYN. Books will be available for purchase, followed by a signing with the contributors. Free community event, all are welcome.
7 pm, Words Matter Bookstore
On the official pub date, join author Rich Eldredge and book designer Paolo Aguila for a reading, signing, and Q&A. Cake will be provided by Crazy Kat Dessertery.
7 pm, via Zoom
For current and former Pitmanites everywhere, this online event brings together moderator and former Pitman Mayor Mike Batten with guests Daniel Munyon (former Broadway owner), Mike Doughty (“Old Images of Pitman”), Rich Eldredge, and Paolo Aguila. Tune in to reminisce about the Broadway’s 100 years and connect with the community.
